Public Safety: Pay, Benefits & Equipment
Our first responders are the backbone of Greenville. As a First Responder myself, I understand the importance of supporting those who protect us. My commitment is to improve pay and benefits for our police officers, and firefighters, ensuring we recruit and retain the best. We will also implement a 'Safety Modernization Plan' to provide updated equipment and training, ensuring our heroes have the tools they need to go home safe.
Economic Independence: The Sanitation Department
Let's keep our money in Greenville. I propose forming our own City of Greenville Sanitation Department instead of paying private companies. This will create local jobs and ensure revenue is reinvested in our community, paving our streets and fixing our sidewalks. It's about keeping our tax dollars working for us, right here in Greenville.
Investing in Our Youth
All our kids deserve a safe place to grow. As a father of a special needs child, I know the need for accessible places for children to play and socialize. I will secure funding for a Youth Community Center—a safe, inclusive space where kids of all abilities can study, play, and hang out safely after school. We need a space that keeps them off the streets and ensures no child in Greenville is left behind.
County-Wide Unity
It's time to bridge the divide with our neighbors. Greenville and Central City must work together to solve problems affecting all of Muhlenberg County. I intend to collaborate closely with the Mayor of Central City to attract new industries and fight the drug epidemic. We are stronger when we stand together.
Revitalizing Our Local Economy
Small businesses are the heartbeat of Greenville. My plan focuses on smart tax incentives and accessible loans to unlock a new era of prosperity for our town. By reducing barriers to entry and increasing access to capital, we can empower our local businesses to thrive and create jobs.
